Derrick Walker is a classically trained chef with over 20 years in commercial kitchens. He started Smoke-A-Holics BBQ in 2006 with his wife Kesha. They started doing catering, event vending, and pop ups. With no financial backing, and really not looking for partnerships(actually turning down a few) it took some time to get where they are now. In 2018 they finally bought their first food truck, and with sold out crowds and huge success, they were a brick and mortar one year later. After surviving 2020, and a national pandemic and still moving foreward. And part of that forward progress is their new partnership with Crockett Hall located at Crockett Row.
